Kate Schumann is a freelance trumpet player, arranger, and teacher in the Twin Cities. In 2011 She received her Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from The University of Minnesota where she studied with David Baldwin and Gary Bordner. She received her B.M. in 2007 from Augsburg College where she studied with Lynn Erickson. Kate plays classical, jazz, pop and electric improv music. She has played with numerous groups, including the Saint Paul Civic Symphony, the Camp Snoopy Cruisers, VocalEssence and The West Bank Brass.
